Arrest in gun theft

Gun theft charges have been pinned on a 43-year old Oconee County man. Sheriff’s officers early Tuesday arrested Joey Liston Smith of Beverly Road, Salem on charges of larceny and burglary first degree. Holland adds her name to Seneca’s record books

In high school basketball on Tuesday, Seneca’s girls defeated BHP 63-50 in a game that saw Kianna Holland score 23 points and break Seneca’s all-time scoring record. Electric power lost temporarily

Walhalla Officer of the Year

Robert Bennett is Walhalla’s Police Officer of the Year. Chief Ronald Wilbanks made the announcement last night at City Hall. A plaque depicting Bennett’s accomplishment will remain at the police station.
