A 26-year old rural Oconeean is behind bars  in Walhalla, charged with homicide by child abuse in the death of his seven-month old niece. NPO’s Exempt from Westminster Tax

Westminster’s City Council has voted to exempt Non Profit Organizations from a hospitality ordinance.  The council voted unanimously Tuesday to amend the ordinance which would have made 501(c)3 corporations pay the 2 percent tax on the sale of prepared food and beverages.  The amended ordinance specifically exempts yard sales, benefit dinners and registered festival vendors.…
