The New York Giants rolled over the Carolina Panthers 36-7 Thursday night in North Carolina. Giants quarterback Eli Manning went 27 of 35 for 288 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions. For the Panthers, QB Cam Newton was 16 of 30 for 242 yards with three interceptions.

Home fire near Clemson

Fire fighters yesterday were able to quickly stop a small fire in a clothes dryer in a home inside the Corinth-Shiloh Fire District. Chief Mike Zambito of the Corinth-Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department credited Seneca fire fighters with reaching the Nebo Church Road home first, followed shortly by volunteers from his station. No one was injured.
