Panthers defeat Eagles 30-22 in ‘Monday Night Football’

Cam Newton throws for two touchdowns and runs for two more in a 30-22 Panthers victory over the Eagles on Monday night.

The Carolina Panthers got a 30-22 Monday Night Football win last night in Philadelphia, sending the Eagles to their seventh straight defeat. Panthers quartback Cam Newton went 18 of 28 for 306 yards, throwing for two touchdowns and running for two more. Eagles rookie QB Nick Foles, who was filling in for a second start for Michael Vick, who’s out with a concussion, was 16 of 21 for 119 yards. Bryce Brown set a team rookie record with 178 yards rushing, including two touchdown runs, in a losing effort for the Eagles, but also lost two fumbles.
