Parade time Friday in Clemson

The Clemson Community will gather at 6 o’clock Friday evening for the annual First Friday Parade. It’s a 40-year tradition before the first home football game. This year’s floats will reflect the parade theme: “The Echo of the Tiger”—a reference to a line in the university alma mater, which reads, “That the tiger’s roar may echo o’ver the mountain height.” President James Clement is the parade’s grand marshal. Both the parade and the pep rally are free and open to the public. The route will follow South Carolina 93 from the President’s Home to Williamson Road. The rally takes place on Bowman Field.
