Parent support initiative for Oconee

Oconee County ranks 11th in the state for the number of births to 15-19 year olds and 10th in the number of repeat prengancies.  To stem the tide, Clemson University’s Joseph F. Sullivan Center, the Parenting Place and other local organizations will launch CU Succeed.  It’s an initiative to support academic, health and parenting Oconee county residents.  The organizations will announce the initiative 11:30 to 12:30 tomorrow at the Walhalla Depot.  The Children’s Trust of South Carolina and the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy will host the event.
