Parole denied!

From Columbia 96.3/WGOG NEWS has received word that state authorities have once again denied parole for Ronald Sheppard, the former HomeGold executive. The action was taken by the board of the South Carolina Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. Among those opposing parole was State Attorney General Alan Wilson. The collapse more than 10 years ago of Pickens-based Carolina Investors, a subsidiary of HomeGold, ranked as South Carolina’s largest white-collar crime, and many of its victims were investors from Oconee County.
