A small part of West Union Road remains closed as Duke Energy goes about the replacement of an electric pole that was struck in a car-truck accident. Assistant Chief Jess Neville of the West Union Fire Department said no one was hurt in the accident, the impact of saw a transfer truck strike and break the pole at West Union Road and the Walhalla-Westminster Highway, Old S.C. 28. By 1:30 this afternoon, some Duke customers still were without service.
