Parts of Clemson under advisory

A boil water advisory has been placed for residents of six neighborhoods of Clemson.
The city advises residents of Essex Drive, Cochran Road, Boggs Street, Elm Street, Clemson Street and Calhoun Street to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking.  Residents should continue to vigorously boil their water for at least one (1) full minute prior to drinking or cooking until otherwise notified by the City of Clemson. Any ice made from water which has not been boiled should not be used for drinking purposes.  The advisory is being issued as a precaution only due to a water line tie in on the new 10 inch water main. If you should have any questions concerning this advisory, you may call the City of Clemson Utilities Department at 864-653-2046 or the Police Department at 864-624-2000 after normal business hours. The City of Clemson will collect water samples in this area.  This boil water advisory will be in effect until further notice. You may also refer to the City of Clemson’s web page at www.cityofclemson.org for updated information.
