Patching and re-paving SC 11 North

Motorists who feel the fillings in their teeth rattle while driving highway 11 north in Oconee County can look forward to relief.  The state’s resident DOT construction engineer, Josh Makison, has received word that a four-mile section of north highway 11 is scheduled for patching and re-surfacing.  The improvements are to take place two miles in both directions from the SC 11-183 intersection.  In the meantime, most of the contracts let recently call for the contractors to rehabilitate secondary roads.  Those contracts were let in June.  There is to be a new letting in the middle of the month for work on secondaries 106 and 250.
