Paul Corbeil moving forward

The outgoing member of the Oconee County Council is moving forward. With one month left in his term, Paul Corbeil is thanking the residents of District One and the rest of the county for the privilege of having served as a councilman for more than five years. Having lost his bid to be re-elected, Corbeil will leave the council December 31. His seat will be taken by Edda Cammick, the winner of this year’s District One elections. But Corbeil is leaving with the hope that Oconeeans will address questions he considers important for the county’s future. They include how to encourage a stronger, more balanced economy and how to build a better future for the young and the disadvantaged. Corbeil concedes the answers are not easy.
