Pedestrian arrested at West Union

A man seen walking late at night in the middle of a West Union street was stopped by a county deputy and later arrested on three charges. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the deputy approached the man to learn his identity and find out why he was walking in the middle of Railroad Street—in the direction of Hunter Street. Officers identified the man as 59-year old Seneca resident Edward Wayne Collins and charged him with unlawful carrying a pistol, possession of the controlled substance Diazepam and possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
