Pickens County fire nears NC line

Word from Pickens County is that the fire that began on Pinnacle Mountain is approaching the North Carolina.  And that, according to one public information officer, means required coordination with North Carolina authorities in Transylvania County and other entities.  Fire fighters are a tough and determined breed.  Even though Thanksgiving arrives tomorrow, there will be no let up in the fire fighting, although PIO Brad Bramlett says, “I have heard plans they are going to do some kind of Thanksgiving meal with the fire fighters for tomorrow but, no sir, we will continue with plans to keep on rolling.”
