Pickens County man arrested in Oconee home burglary

A 35-year old Pickens County man has been charged in Oconee County with burglary first degree and petty larceny. According to law enforcement reports, the case in which John Robert Hendricks of the Pumpkintown Highway was arrested, charged, and jailed in Walhalla is the investigation of an incident last winter at a home on Katelyn Lane near Lake Keowee. Deputies investigated a February 27 report that the homeowners, driving by their property, noticed suspicious activity on their property. The arrest affidavit alleges that Hendricks while leaving the crime scene used a pickup truck to ram the homeowners’ vehicle multiple times—while the homeowners were in their vehicle. A second arrest affidavit further alleges that Hendricks stole air conditioners belonging to the victims.
