Pickup crashes into Seneca insurance office

A pickup truck crashed thru the back of a Seneca insurance office.  No one appeared to have been seriously hurt, but three people inside SHK insurance were fortunate to have escaped the crash.  The accident occurred during the noon hour apparently when the pickup left Mill Road near SC 130, pushed down a fence, went across a yard, and then crashed into the back of the Century Plaza strip shopping center.  Peggy Hughes, inside the insurance office, said it sounded like a bomb going off.  Among the property casualties were a water main and some power lines.  Those lines draped down over the truck.  While the utilities were being disconnected responders directed the driver to stay in his vehicle.  The damage to SHK insurance comes at a busy time of the year—especially the open enrollment for Obamacare.  While the SHK office is closed, Hughes says they will be still be doing insurance business.  And she invites customers to call her at 864/483-1843.
