Point-counterpoint on 1% referendum

Brad Norton and Ward Fetrow both live near Salem. But these Tamassee community neighbors share differing views on how their fellow Oconee County residents should vote next month on adding a penny to the local sales tax. Norton favors a one-cent addition to pay for a list of betterment projects countywide. Fetrow does not take issue with the worthiness of the projects so much as he does with the creation of a new tax to pay for them. The two men went point-counterpoint for a series of 96.3/WGOG public affairs programs that will air on ‘Community Sound Off’ starting this Sunday.
