Police Arrest Two in Wal-Mart Shoplifting; Narcotics charges follow

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrest two women from Walhalla on Wednesday, after being called to Wal-Mart in Seneca to look into a possible shoplifting. Both women wound up being charged with possessing narcotics. Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Jimmy Watt says 22 year-old Lindsay Rebecca Eades of Playground Road and 21 year-old Kristin Hope Carter of Snead Road, were booked into the detention center this morning. Police were called to the Sandifer Boulevard store just before 10 AM, where they found Carter in the loss prevention office, placing her under arrest. A search of her purse produced narcotics, marijuana, and methamphetamine. Meanwhile, police outside the store located Carter’s vehicle with three people, including Eades, inside. Following a search of the car, Eades was charged with possession of methamphetamine. Carter is charged with possession of a controlled substance, trafficking in meth, shoplifting, and simple marijuana possession.
