Police chase ends on dead-end road

A 42-year old man was arrested early today after a police chase that ended on a dead-end road in Anderson near the man’s home at Fair Play.  Oconee officers say they went to a home on Tugaloo Heights Circle as part of an investigation of a domestic dispute.  Deputies approached the suspect, Dennis Ralph Roberts Jr., at the home, but say he got into a car and sped away at a high rate of speed with no lights on.  From Tugaloo Heights Road to the Old Dobbins Bridge Road, the chase ended on Anderson County’s dead end road—the Rock Ages Road.  The 42-year old Roberts was charged in traffic tickets with driving under the influence and a vehicle with a missing/incorrectly displayed tag.   According to the Oconee Sheriff’s Office, other charges are pending.
