Police respond to fight in the street

The investigation of a fight reported on the street yesterday morning in a Seneca residential neighborhood has landed one man in jail. The police say that, after being called to Williams Street, they arrested James Willie Walker on three charges. Authorities listed the following charges against the 40-year old Walker: assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, disorderly conduct, and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to the police department report, the officer encountered Walker at the intersection of Holland Avenue and E. S. 2nd Street and confiscated a steak knife and three pipes, one of which is commonly used for smoking crack cocaine.
