Policeman identifies objects used in assault

A police officer in Seneca told the city’s judge that multiple objects were used to strike a woman in a home on the 900 block of E. S. 2nd Street.  The crime is alleged to have occurred early Thursday morning and the victim underwent treatment in the hospital emergency department.  According to law enforcement authorities, Courtney Catrease Mayes was arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.  Officer Michael Teramano signed an affidavit to the arrest warrant, stating that the victim was struck in the head and other parts of the body with objects that included a cord, a cable, a totem pole
