Two more candidate forums and debates have been announced for candidates in this year’s Oconee County elections. They’ll take place in October and November at the Fair-Oak Community Center, in advance of the November 6 General Election. According to the announcement, the three candidates for Oconee Sheriff have agreed to take part in a forum at 7 Thursday night, October 11th. Then, at 7 Thursday night, November 1, five days before election day, the County Council District Five candidates will be featured. The public is invited. The doors at Fair-Oak Youth Center will open at 6:30 both nights.
