Polling place is a construction zone

The regular polling place for one set of Oconee County voters near Clemson is a construction zone, and there’s concern there could be difficulty there for those headed to the polls.  It’s the Corinth-Shiloh Fire Department, the polling location for those who are registered to vote in the Ravenel precinct.  But a spokeswoman for Oconee Elections says her office has been assured by an official of the fire service that there should be no problem in accommodating voters for either the Republican or Democratic primaries.  Voter David Bryant is not so sure.  He’s one of a number of people who’ve called the election office with his concerns.  Bryant, who regards the election as the most important in his lifetime, says he thinks election officials should have a plan for an alternate polling place.
