Pool has decent chance to reopen

A day after DHEC came to town, Walhalla’s representative to Oconee County Council, Wayne McCall, is liking the County Seat’s chances for re-opening its swimming pool this year. The Department of Health and Environmental Control sent a team of a half dozen inspectors yesterday, and McCall said he and the others awaiting their arrival were ready for them. McCall, city councilman David Underwood, and others spent two hours yesterday cleaning the pool. “It looks really good,” McCall said when asked by 96.3/WGOG NEWS if there’s a decent chance the pool can reopen.
