Poster contest announced

Director Scott Krein of Oconee Emergency Services announces details today of the annual Tornado Safety Poster Contest. The contest is open to all students in grades one through six in any Oconee school. There will be winners and runners-up at each grade level and a grand prize winner. Winners will be chosen from each grade level in February. Schools with winners will be notified during Severe Awareness Week in March and certificates and cash prizes will be awarded then. Entries should be submitted to the Office of Emergency Services no later than February 1.
