Power back on!

Electric power service has been restored to all parts of Seneca that went without late this morning when something apparently went wrong with the city’s No. 2 substation at Utica.  Bob Faires, utilities director, said at the city’s request Duke Energy crews restored service, and they got the power back on quickly.  The power outage that lasted about an hour and a half affected customers on the south side of the railroad track.  The task now, Faires says, is to identify what caused the outage.  There was a scheduled outage to allow for work on the system that took place during the early morning hours.
