Prayer Service Held for Drowning Victim

A prayer service was held yesterday for the family of the man who drowned in the ChattoogaRiver. The service was held at the Woodall Shoals access point about a mile above the Five Falls Area.  The body of was recovered from the Chattooga Friday morning. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis conducted an autopsy Friday afternoon and through dental records, the body pulled from the Chattoog was positively identified as 50 year old Thomas Patrick Hill of Tampa Florida. Trey Barnett of Wildwater Limited says a group usually meets at the site on the first Sunday morning at 8 o’clock, but he said the group wanted to devote a large part of the service to pray for the family of Tom Hill. Hill’s sister attended a June 27’s prayer service at Long Creek Baptist Church.  She says the family is having a difficult time deciding on the services for her brother.
