Principal vows school will finish strong

Principal Steve Moore presented his school highlights to the Oconee School Board of Trustees last night—likely the last time the Tamassee-Salem principal will speak to the board in that capacity.  Moore vowed, however, that his school, scheduled for a June closing, will finish strong and, he told, the trustees the school’s finish will make them proud.  The principal’s report last night included the attainment of his school for its largest number of A-P classes, advanced placement.  The school’s four A-P classes, Moore said, are a source of pride.  Special social events are marking the 2015-16 school year including a Miss Legend pageant that brought back to the school 32 previous winners of the contest.  During alumni weekend the oldest returning male graduate was 94 years old.
