Program to alow dock changes delayed

A program is being delayed to allow dock owners on lakes Keowee and Jocassee to apply for dock changes to reach deeper water.  Duke Energy anticipates the program will now be offered once the new license is issued for the Keowee-Toxaway Hydro-electric Project.  According to Duke, the delay is in response to feedback from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission which is responsible for granting the new license.  The program differs from the “Follow the Water” program which allows a dock owner to temporarily move a dock during periods of drought.  That program is not impacted by the delay.
