“Project Switch” translates to Nason expansion

A company that makes switches and cylinders is in line for a tax benefit—if it goes through with an expansion of its operations near West Union.  Oconee County Council last night approved a fee-in-place of tax incentive for the Nason Company and its plant on highway 11.  Richard Blackwell of Oconee Economic Alliance says the expansion entails a $2.5 million investment, 20 thousand square feet additional manufacturing space, and an estimated 26 new jobs. Until last night’s vote, the project had been publicly known only as “Project Switch.”
