A soaking rain yesterday canceled a groundbreaking event for Seneca’s new hotel, but nature did not stop the paperwork from going through to complete the deal. Documents filed yesterday afternoon in the office of Oconee Register of Deeds show approximately two acres changed hands between the property owner and the developer for the Hampton Inn and Suites. From the development company Serene Hospitality, the company K-T-C Associates receives $928 thousand.
