Prospect for Echo Hills

A potential employer described as an advanced materials maker is looking at Oconee County’s undeveloped Echo Hills industrial park, and that prompted County Council last night to direct the administrator to develop the first phase of the park. The action also means the county is to approve a $3.1 million special source revenue bond to help pay for the industrial park infrastructure, along with roads to enter the park. According to Administrator Scott Moulder, whether the company comes to Echo Hills depends on whether the county can get the site ready in time.
