Real estate closing held for former Hometown

The real estate closing is in the books for Seneca’s purchase of 106 N. Walnut building and property.  Realtor John Adams says the $200 thousand deal involving the building and parking lot for the former Hometown Food Store closed yesterday. “Like anything this will probably be a longer term transition, but I think it’s a positive move certainly to improve that part of town over time,” Adams told 101.7/WGOG NEWS.  Though some possible uses have been discussed, Adams says he is unaware of any definite use for the property at this time.”  On another real estate matter, Adams has been attempting to market about 12 1/2 acres that run behind EN 1st Street to the south of the Hampton Inn and Suites. “We don’t have anything to announce at this time.  I would just say, ‘Stay tuned,’” Adams said.
