“Really horrible” is the term Democratic leader applies to Trump win

The majority spoke Tuesday, but the chairwoman of Oconee Democrats calls Republican Donald Trump’s win “really horrible.”  Paulette Keffas-Chassin says the county party is “completely shocked and disappointed.”  Yet Keffas-Chassin concedes the majority has spoken and her party, once a dominant political machine in South Carolina, is now the minority party.  On behalf of Democrats, Keffas-Chassin promises Democrats will try to reach out to Republicans where the parties share common goals.  But she cautioned Democrats won’t abandon their principles, which include the most vulnerable Americans.
