Red, white and blue honor cords at graduation

With their cap and gown, some members of Oconee’s class of graduating seniors this year will wear patriotic red, white, and blue honor cords.  Oconee public schools have received confirmation that the state is establishing – and paying for – red, white, and blue honor cords to wear at graduation for those students who are enlisting in the military. So far, at least two Oconee seniors will wear them.  Dr. Michael Thorsland, county superintendent, is picking the cords up at a meeting today of county superintendents.
