Resident judge to sit in home county first time

First-year Resident Circuit Judge Scott Sprouse of Walhalla will observe a homecoming of sorts next week when, for the first time, he’ll preside over a court session in his home county of Oconee. Sprouse is to be the jurist for a one-week term of General Sessions Court to open Monday morning at the Oconee County Courthouse. For Sprouse, the office of the 10th Circuit Solicitor has prepared a trial docket of three cases in which the individual defendants are charged with grand larceny and drug offenses.
