Responder in wreck on way to call

Sections of two Oconee County roads south of Seneca have been described to 96.3/WGOG NEWS as examples of the worst iced-over roads in the county. And one of those roads, the Martin Creek Road, was the scene late last night of a one-car accident that injured the driver and required his transport to a Greenville hospital. The injured driver has been identified to 96.3/WGOG NEWS as a Tech student who was on his way to another accident, in his capacity as a member of the Friendship Volunteer Fire Department. Martin Creek Road and sections of Friendship Road near Lake Hartwell were described as coated with ice—especially dangerous on the crests of Martin Creek Road between Friendship and Lake Hartwell.
