Retaining wall work next week in Clemson

Intermittent lane closures will take place starting next week in Clemson, as the city begins work on the Tiger Boulevard retaining wall. The work, which will start Tuesday, is designed to secure the slope between Tiger Boulevard and Reid Street. Lane closures will be limited to the eastbound right lane of Tiger Boulevard adjacent to Reid Street. SC-DOT will work with the city to eliminate water runoff from Reid Street that has contributed to the erosion of the slope. A new storm water infrastructure will be put into place and part of Reid Street will be re-surfaced. The work is planned for 90 days. No work will take place July 3-4.
