Road bill approval

Word from Columbia late last night indicated the Senate approved a bill to raise money to repair the state’s roads.  According to Thomas Alexander of Oconee-Pickens, the measure passed decisively enough that it can withstand a threatened veto by Governor McMaster. The Senate is fashioning a measure that while granting tax relief will raise fees and incrementally raise the state’s low gas pump tax.
