Road patrol makes weekend arrests

Road patrol deputies made four arrests at two locations over the weekend in Oconee County. A license checkpoint at 2:25 Saturday morning at south highway 11 and Critter Road resulted in the arrests of the driver and a passenger. Officers say the driver, 25-year old Seneca resident Jonathan Paul Craig was charged with possession of ice and issued a ticket alleging simple possession of marijuana. According to Jimmy Watt, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Office, passenger Whitney Jewell Harper, 24, of West Union received a ticket alleging simple possession of marijuana. Two other arrests were made near shortly after 7 a-m Sunday at highway 183 and Country Junction Road. Two persons, one from Greenville County, were charged with public disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance.
