Road resurfacing on the horizon!

November 15, 2013

Word is expected soon from the state Department of Transportation on a contract for the resurfacing of a short section of U-S 123 at Seneca—from Old Salem Road to Lindsay Road. The re-surfacing of that stretch covers 123 thru the 130/E.N. 1st Street intersection. Contractors’ bids are believed to have been received earlier this week in Columbia. In the meantime, the DOT’s resident maintenance engineer, Josh Makison, says his office has received word that contractors’ bids will be invited next month to resurface three Oconee County secondary roads: S-23 at Fair Play; S-203 near Emmanuel Church Drive; and S-395 near SC 130/the Rochester Highway.
