Robust interest reported in industrial park

The large Oconee industrial park on north highway 11 sits empty, but soon there may be claims on all available acreage.  One side of the park is being reserved for a college campus, a high school career center, and new offices for the Economic Alliance.  It’s the Oconee Information and Technology Park, formerly known as Echo Hills. Richard Blackwell, alliance executive director, confirmed talk yesterday that the other side may fill with “two entities that have identified the industrial park on highway 11 as their next destination.”   And, Blackwell says, there could be groundbreaking there “in the next few months.”
