Rotary recognizes Students of the Quarter

Leadership, academic achievement and community involvement are among the criteria the public schools consider for Student of the Quarter honors. At today’s Walhalla Rotary Club meeting, students of the quarter from six Oconee schools received pins, certificates, and bumper stickers. The following students were treated to a Rotary luncheon: Jordan Pope of Keowee Elementary School, Mason Duncan of Tamassee-Salem Elementary, Kallsen Wright of Walhalla Elementary, Jesse Beatriz of James Brown Elementary, Carter McInnis of Walhalla Middle School, and Jesus Miranda of Walhalla High School. On 96.3/WGOG NEWS, we’ll replay Rotary President Evie Hughes’s comments about each of today’s honorees.
