Running down the November 4 ballot

Some local candidates this year enter next month’s General Election unopposed. Yet a voter should not be fooled into thinking that there is little importance attached to the 2014 General Election in South Carolina. To the contrary, there are contested races for several top statewide offices—along with important referenda at both the local and state levels.
