Runway project manager testifies

Plateau Excavation project manager Alan Hall said his company did not get state inspection reports from employees of airport consultants Talbert and Bright “in a timely manner. Hall testified for the plaintiff’s side yesterday in day two of the Oconee Common Pleas Court trial. He said the failure to receive those reports led to bigger problems such as silt runoff into Lake Hartwell. Plateau, awarded the contract to extend the Oconee Regional Airport runway, seeks damages from the county and the county’s former airport consultant, Talbert and Bright. The trial may stretch into late next week.
