Salem resident adoption winner

Salem resident Jane Finfrock will make a new home for the offspring of a cow that witnessed its mother’s death in a traffic accident.  Finfrock was the winning applicant of 150 submitted to the Oconee Animal Shelter.  The only cost associated is a $200 dollar adoption fee.  Before the adoption is completed, Animal Control officers will check the Salem resident’s property.  This adoption comes at a time of a slow time of the year for the county shelter near Seneca.  The Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone that cats and dogs are available and would make swell Christmas and holiday gifts.  You can find out more by stopping by the shelter on the Sandifer Boulevard during business hours—Monday through Friday, 10 to 4:30 and Saturdays, 10 to 2.  The phone number is 888-0221.
