Rudi-Samya-MurphyOconeee Sheriff’s Office requests the public’s help to find a Salem woman missing for more than three weeks. Rudi Samya Murphy, 44, of Alexander Road is a white female. According to a statement from the Sheriff’s Office, Murphy’s daughter told deputies her mother was evicted from her last home and had been staying wherever she could. “The daughter also reported to deputies that she got a phone call from her mother’s cell phone, but the individual placing the call was not her mom and that person had found her cell phone. This person told the missing woman’s daughter that the phone was near a tent by the lake but the daughter told deputies that she did not think to ask where around the lake was or the name of the person who found the phone. That person also said they would leave the phone by the tent. Deputies are interested in speaking with the individual who found the phone….” If you can help, call the Sheriff’s Office at 864/638-4111 or call Crimestoppers at 864/638-STOP or text a tip to 274737.
