An Oconee state lawmaker defends his vote on a solid waste bill—a piece of legislation he co-sponsored. H. 3290, also called “Business Freedom to Choose Act,” passed the House of Representatives and awaits action in the Senate. The legislation place State Rep. Bill Sandifer of Seneca at loggerheads with the group Voice of Southern Oconee, as well as apparently with the Oconee County Council. Sandifer’s position is being aired today on 96.3/WGOG NEWS.
