Saturday night traffic death in Oconee County

A weekend traffic accident in Oconee County took the life of a 58-year old woman. Coroner Karl Addis says the fatality was Hilda Parker of Julius Street, Seneca. According to the highway patrol, Parker was at the wheel of a small car that collided with a Jeep Wrangler shortly after 8 o’clock Saturday night at U-S 123 and the Richland Road. Trooper Gary Miller says Parker’s car was traveling on the Richland Road while the vehicle driven by Hannah Ross Jenkins, 19-year old Westminster resident, was headed west on 123. Miller said Jenkins suffered minor injuries. The trooper said mechanical means were required to free Parker from the wreckage of her car. Addis said Parker died at the hospital of complications from blunt force trauma.
