School bus-garbage truck accident

In the parking lot of a Seneca apartment complex this morning, a sanitation truck hit a parked Oconee school bus, according to a school district official. This morning’s accident at Seneca Gardens Apartments at Hillcrest Drive and Fairfield Road was described by Dr. Michael Thorsland, assistant superintendent for school district operations. No one reported injured. All students aboard the bus were transferred to another bus for their trip to school and the start of the day.  Mark Krabbe, public works director for Seneca, called it a “slow-speed accident” in which the sanitation truck backed into the school bus.
