School District ready for end of exit exam

June 10, 2014

The elimination of the state-required exit exam before a high school senior may graduate will make for new opportunities for affected students to qualify for a diploma. Steve Hanvey, assistant superintendent for the Oconee School District, told trustees last night the district is preparing to process what potentially could be in excess of applications from 100 former students denied graduation during the near 25-year life of the exam.
